PSG Edges Marseille on Penalties to Secure French Super Cup in Kuwait.
The Parisian club has now won the prestigious trophy on 14 different occasions.
Paris Saint-Germain required a stoppage-time equaliser followed by a successful spot-kick decider to overcome their arch-rivals in Kuwait and secure a fourth straight French Super Cup victory.
The Champions League holders appeared to be sailing towards a straightforward win in the showdown between the Ligue 1 winners and the French Cup winners after the French winger opened the net early on.
Yet, Marseille fired twice late to take a shock advantage. First, the English forward converted from the spot-kick, before the defender unfortunately directed the ball into his own net for an own-goal.
In a breathtaking twist of events, Goncalo Ramos snatched a vital leveler in the final moments to send the contest into a deciding shootout. The Parisian shot-stopper Chevalier then emerged as the hero, stopping decisive attempts from Matt O'Riley and Hamed Traore.
From the spot, Ramos, the midfielder, Nuno Mendes, and Desire Doue all converted successfully for Paris Saint-Germain to seal a 4-1 shootout victory.
The record champions Paris Saint-Germain, who faced last season's Ligue 1 second-placed team Marseille after achieving a league and cup double, have now won this competition for the 12th time in the last thirteen years.
