I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
